A volunteer Event Coordinator is sought to help plan and coordinate cast parties, receptions, and other events. The Event Coordinator should be comfortable seeking donations of food, beverages and supplies. Time commitment is minimal, and most working hours are flexible except for attendance at planning meetings and at events themselves. Some event planning experience is preferred.
NBYT is also seeking interns interested in education, production, or administrative positions. Available work includes teaching assistance, assistant stage management, marketing, fundraising, and more. Positions are available during the fall or spring semesters or summer. New Britain Youth Theater regularly seeks resumes from teaching artists, directors, choreographers, musical directors, stage managers, technical directors, and designers. All teaching and directing positions require experience and enthusiasm for working with children at some level from Preschool through Grade 12. Design and technical positions are part-time, flexible, and may include the opportunity to teach design workshops. Experienced college or graduate students are welcome to apply. |

New Britain Youth Theater offers volunteer opportunities in many areas. Volunteers can choose to give a set number of hours weekly, or to work on a project-by-project basis. Volunteers can work in one area regularly, or in a variety of areas. Some areas in which volunteers are welcome include:
